The Microfluidics team was excited to participate as joint presenters on June 17, 2021, with our Turkish colleagues from Anamed & Analitik Group to discuss: Efficient Production of Liposomes, Lipid Nanoparticles and similar Vesicles with Microfluidizer^® Technology.

Overview of Liposomes

Small molecules, nucleic acids and proteins can be packaged in lipid-based nanoparticles and used for both drug and vaccine transmission. As one of the most successful delivery systems for clinical use, liposomes offer better efficacy and less toxicity with a targeted delivery compared to other delivery systems. However, replicating research and development results into production of lipid-based nanoparticles (liposomes, lipid nanoparticles and solid lipid nanoparticles) must address many challenges guaranteeing a consistent, repeatable product
